Our FAQs answer all your questions about our Medicine Counter Assistant course.
  • Where can I pick up the admission forms?
    Admission forms are available in all our retail outlets in Accra and also via online on our website.
  • Will students be asked to submit original certificates?
    Yes, certified true copies.
  • Is there another course aside the MCA offered by the school?
    Yes, Cosmetology.
  • Is there evening session?
    Yes, this would run from 4pm - 8pm, Monday - Friday (This may depend on the number of students who choose this option)
  • Is there arrangement for someone who did the course couple of years ago and wish to brush up on the knowledge?
    Yes, if the person hasn't written the prescribed exam by the Pharmacy Council. Such students would have to do a compulsory 3 months theory work after which the student would be registered for the exam.
  • When is the school commencing?
    School is currently in progress.
  • Will I be employed by Unicom Chemist after the training?
    Employment by Unicom Chemist Limited is purely on merit. Any candidate who satisfies the employment requirements of Unicom Chemist Limited would be employed depending on the vacancies available.
  • How much is the school fees?
    GH¢1,650.00 School fees will include T- Shirt, ID Card and study materials.
  • How much does the admission forms cost?
    Admission forms are free but you pay a processing fee of Ghc 50 upon submission of the filled forms. This is to cover administrative charges and other materials.
  • Will there be an interview?
    Shortlisted candidates would be interviewed, if necessary, before the final selection.
  • Aside the MCA certificate, what are the possible career choices for offering the course?
    Graduates can work in the dispensary at a medical facility. They could school further to become Pharmacy Technicians and work in the manufacturing industry. They can work as Marketing Officers for some pharmaceutical companies.
  • How many days am I to attend lectures in a week
    The number of days you attend lectures would depend on which shift you are on. The students with the regular class will do 10am – 2pm Five Days in a week whereas those in the weekend class would do 8am – 5pm on Saturdays.
  • Will I get the opportunity to do my attachment with Unicom Chemist Limited?
    This may depend on your proximity to any of our retail outlets and also the slots available.
  • What are course outlines?
    The course outline will be shared with successful candidates.
  • Where is the school located?
    Opposite Mount Olivet school, Dansoman.
  • What are the admission requirements?
    WASSCE, O LEVEL and NVTI certificate. Those who don’t have such qualification but have experience in the industry would have to pass an interview session to aid in the admission.
  • Will students take the licensure exams at the end of the studies?
    Yes, to be organized by the Pharmacy Council.
